Music: Electronic Avaland feat. Claude VonStroke, Ellen Allien, and Sascha Funke

Bpitch Control labelmates Ellen Allien and Sascha Funke take charge at Avalon tonight, globetrotting together in support of Funke's new album, Mango. While Funke's record is a smooth piece of melodic techno, Allien's upcoming disc, out in May, has been descibed as "subtle, mysterious, and minimal." And despite the reserved tone of her studio output, the Bpitch boss lady's live sets are generally hard hitting. Expect her to turn it up on the decks tonight, while trading off turntable duty with Funke and tech-funk superstar ("The Whistler" and "Who's Afraid of Detroit?" anyone?) Claude VonStroke.
