As Internet galleries and portfolio sites make it increasingly easy to navigate the deep waters of the international emerging art scene, the prevalence of Chinese artists is astounding. On the Saatchi site alone, however, nearly 1,200 new profiles appear per day; enter trusted brick-and-mortar venues like Downtown's Morono Kiang Gallery, which celebrates its first anniversary with this far-ranging group exhibition of contemporary Chinese painters, photographers, and video artists.
