It isn't often that eight different writers put their heads together to craft a single play, but that's the case in Anatomy of a Slap — a group workshop piece by Off-Chance Productions at Silverlake's Son of Semele Theater. In Anatomy's meta play-within-a-play, a young woman named Renee writes an autobiographical theatre piece and encounters an unexpected twist on opening night. Throughout it all, the play explores the thin separation between reality and perception, as seen in the stark symbolism of a slap in the face.
