Known for coughing loudly while telling jokes of questionable merit, Neil Hamburger (accompanied by the Too-Good-for-Neil-Hamburger-Band) has now released an honest-to-goodness country record, Neil Hamburger Sings Country Winners. To celebrate, he's taking his new act on the road in the Country Winners Review. Tonight, "America's Funnyman [sic]" deploys ruminative toe-tappers like "At Least I Was Paid" and "How Can I Still Be Patriotic (When They've Taken Away My Right to Cry)," in a grand display of subtle irony and greasy, earnest delirium.
