The Israel Film Festival, an annual two-week movie marathon, celebrates Israel and — l'chaim! — independent film. Festival highlights include Lynn Roth's The Little Traitor, based on the Amos Oz novel Panther in the Basement; Ari Davidovich's Waiting for Godik, a documentary about legendary producer Giora Godik; and opening-night flick The Secrets, Avi Nesher's tale of a young Orthodox woman's retreat to a Jewish seminary following the death of her mother.
