A natural heir to the lineage of the Beta Band and Kraftwerk, London-based Ciam create cinematic electronic music with a disturbed art-rock edge. The brainchild of vocalist/guitarist Jeff Shapiro and violist/violinist Hadar Goldman, Ciam invade exotic Los Feliz hot spot Tangier to treat the crowd to a sneak peek of their first US release, Anonymous. The album is a compendium of slick, complex tunes — its electro-pop qualities encourage dancing, while the darker textures are ideal for headphone chill-out sessions.
