Egyptian Theatre says…

Mods and rockers both worshiped bands, rode scooters, and cultivated impossibly hip hairstyles. But the two UK groups had a distinct aversion to one another during the '60s, creating one of the biggest subcultural rivalries in music history. The Egyptian Theatre reinvigorates the conflict with the two-week-long extravaganza, Mods & Rockers, featuring 31 films and shorts, and a special concert with Neil Innes from Monty Python and the Rutles. Movies range from A Hard Day's Night (celebrating its 44th anniversary) and the George Harrison-scored Wonderwall to documentaries on Pink Floyd's "acid casualty," Syd Barrett, and the seminal LA band Love.
