On Fridays, the art jumps off the wall and into the ears of LACMA visitors with the museum's beloved outdoor summer-concert series. Showcasing some of SoCal's best young and veteran talents free of charge in the museum's grand entrance plaza, the Friday Night Jazz lineup includes tenor saxophonist (and former creative director of Motown Records) Dave Pell and his octet; the exuberant, drummer-led Peter Erskine Trio; and sultry, 25-year-old nu-jazz songbird Sara Gazarek.
