Those hollowed out by Pride Weekend's increasingly commercial celebrations (remind us exactly how a Vons truck defines queer culture?) should check out Los Angeles Art Association's tribute to LGBT-inspired art. Out There, a one-week exhibition curated by Western Project's Cliff Benjamin in collaboration with the city of West Hollywood for Gay Pride Month, shines the spotlight on queer and gender-bending artists. Kick off tonight's Christopher Street-style festivities with a tour at 825's opening reception. The gallery is also open — and will be serving cold drinks — on Sunday from 2pm to 6pm to coincide with West Hollywood Pride Parade festivities.
