With apologies to No Age, Dan Deacon is the strangest performer ever to grace the Fridays Off the 405 stage. Known for his hilarious, sweat-soaked dance parties, Deacon uses a pile of tone generators, pedals, and thrift-store keyboards to produce kid-friendly, rainbow-hued noise — a Day-Glo foundation for oddball gibberish-poetry anthems that appeal to music snobs and candy ravers alike. Don't be surprised if his lightning-speed tempos keep up until the party stops. LA hip-hop torch-bearers Brother Reade offer a contrast to the madness, coupling deep electro textures with literate, rapid-fire rhymes.
