The practice of being mindful and aware doesn't come easy in our contemporary environment. Cell phones ring, constant emails twitter back and forth, and crowded roads create noisy spaces and clouded minds. For its fifth annual photographic exhibition, Create:Fixate brings together a photographic perspective on simply being "aware." The festival's artists offer their own interpretations of liberating perception and living in the moment; of course, you'll still have to navigate a series of DJs, bands, and other entertainment to be truly "present."
