This dual exhibition from British artist Gillian Wearing begins with Pin-Ups, displayed at the Regen Projects' Almont Drive location. For her collaboration with illustrator Jim Burns, Wearing scoured the Internet for non-professional models to pose for a series of glamour photos, which she then transformed into old-fashioned (and quasi-erotic) portraits. At Regen Projects II, her video Family History goes back to the roots of reality television by revisiting the BBC's 1974 series The Family and exploring the media's influential cultural role. Both exhibits demonstrate Wearing's insatiable curiosity about modern voyeurism.
