Music: Global Brazilian Summer Festival

While perhaps not as all-consuming as Carnaval, tonight's shakedown more than lives up to Brazilians' reputation for partying. The 15th-annual Brazilian Summer Festival's live music, arts, crafts, DJs, a contest to win round-trip tickets to São Paulo, and a setting on the elegant decks of '30s ocean liner the Queen Mary — make for an absolute must-do. Grupo Revelação make their Los Angeles debut with the fiery samba that has been rocking Brazil's airwaves since the 1970s and Mestre Amén's Capoeira Batuque blend the traditional martial-arts dance with wild percussion.
