Music: Rock/Pop David Lynch Foundation Benefit feat. Nico Vega, Gods and Monsters, the Bangkok 5, 8mm, and Astra Heights

Nothing about David Lynch is traditional — including his charity. The David Lynch Foundation provides in-school meditation programs (also known as "Quiet Time") to combat ADD, learning disorders, substance abuse, depression, and anxiety. Lynch himself is a longtime follower of transcendental mediation. Tonight, he hosts a benefit concert at the Key Club with first-rate local bands and a bounty of gifts to auction. Headliners Nico Vega share the stage with Gods and Monsters, 8mm, the Bangkok 5, and Astra Heights. Get there early to bid on items like photographs by Lynch, a Sub Pop CD collection, paintings by renowned artists, and even scuba lessons.
