- Not to be bound by the usual trappings of the female folk-singer genre, Meiko has the sort of innocently romantic lyrics and sweet, pure voice (with shades of the Indigo Girls and Carole King) that practically screams "crossover sensation." Meiko has recently carved out a considerable folk-pop niche, having been championed by Nic Harcourt and featured on Grey's Anatomy. Tonight, she's joined by soulful singer Lex Land, whose sultry piano pop recalls 1940s jazz clubs, whiskey-soaked nights, and hungover, foggy Sundays. – Mikelle Schwartz
