Performing Arts: Festival New Original Works Festival 2008

In the fifth installment of its annual NOW Festival, REDCAT assembles a stellar three-program lineup for a three-week run. Committed to creating, nurturing, and sustaining new theatrical language, NOW looks at the kaleidoscopic array of contemporary performance styles percolating in LA right now. Each program has its own distinctive aesthetic and delivers work from different companies. Highlights include the layered dance-theater pieces of Rosanna Gamson, the absurdity of Dada-esque collective Poor Dog Group, the powerful percussion of Baker & Tarpaga Dance Project, and the caustic irreverence of Kristina Wong.
