- The upcoming installment of the Batman film franchise, The Dark Knight, has been subject to a media blitz of epic proportions in recent months. Lauded director Christopher Nolan is behind the lens again, and A-lister Christian Bale fills out the Batsuit, but with the passing of Heath Ledger in January, the film's mystique ballooned, especially given the Oscar buzz surrounding Ledger's portrayal of the Joker. In an inspired move, the Arclight braces for the onslaught of curious fans by holding an opening day/night 24-hour screening cycle that starts at midnight on Thursday.
