Taking equal inspiration from Ace of Base and David Bowie, LA outfit City City can't seem to choose between rock, pop, or electronica, and they wouldn't want it any other way. The beautiful textures of their synth-happy, catchy tracks are in no small part due to guitarist/engineer Jeff Kirchner, while frontman Dan McCollister provides a Freddie Mercury-esque magnetism. Also ascending the stage tonight are local tunesmith Chris Tondre, punky expats the King Cheetah, and mellow rockers Aylward SarnoSilva.
