Tuesdays–Saturdays (noon–6pm)
During this solo show, Dave McKean leaves no medium unexplored. McKean is a prolific artist who dabbles in — among other things — digital photography, illustration, collage, and oil on board, but it's his subject matter that makes a lasting impression, blending the macabre with a twist of mysticism and a dash of surrealism. As disparate as his styles seem, McKean convinces us that his alternate world of decapitated heads, eerily empty city streets, and armless women makes sense. Like fairgoers in a fun-house mirror, his subjects are distorted, but they still resemble us — if we look closely enough.
