Film: Shorts NewFilmMakers Los Angeles

Though it originated ten years ago at Anthology Film Archives in NYC, NewFilmMakers has since hopped coasts and venues to LA's Architecture and Design Museum. In its 12th installment, the program screens films by up-and-comers who are looking for a little love from Tinseltown and hoping to score a hit along the lines of Zero Day or The Blair Witch Project, both of which were spotlighted in the past. As the series ends, a soirée lets audience members mingle with the burgeoning filmmakers. While you're at the A+D, be sure to check out the American Institute of Architects Design Awards exhibition, which runs through August.
