During his 40-year career, rock 'n roll photographer Jim Marshall has captured some of Bob Dylan's, John Coltrane's, and Janis Joplin's most intimate moments. "There's a trust given and a trust received," says Marshall, who was the official photographer of Woodstock and the only man backstage with a camera at the Beatles' final concert. Marshall's strong ethics have enabled him to build a deep archive of iconic shots, including Jimi lighting his guitar on fire at Monterey Pop, Mick and Keith laying down tracks in the studio, and Bob chasing a tire down a litter-filled NYC street. This is the LA premiere of Platinum Prints, a collection of Marshall's most evocative work.
