Jonson's star rose quickly with the release of 2003's Typerope EP, an explosive club banger and a staple in crates around the globe. As one-third of the cerebral live-production trio Cobblestone Jazz — whose quirky cuts get play from mega-jocks Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier, and Richie Hawtin — Jonson is a must-see for connoisseurs of underground dance.
