Art Signals: A Video Showcase

For California Scenarios — the third installment of Signals, OCMA's ongoing contemporary video-art survey — the museum showcases the vivid work of Mungo Thomson, Enid Baxter Blader, Bia Gayotto, Nicole Antebi, and the late Jeremy Blake. Each artist waxes artistic about the histories and attributes of specific architectural and geographical sites around California. From the LA highways' mundane-but-necessary commuter lanes to Warner Brothers' ubiquitous cartoon-desert scenes, the artists cover a range of locations as far-flung and oddball as Californians themselves.
