Brooklyn-based author Paul G. Maziar and artist Matt Maust (whose day job involves playing bass in the Cold War Kids) banged their brains together and the result is WriteBloody press' WHAT IT IS: WHAT IT IS. Maust's black-and-white photographs of urban decay and Maziar's bizarre, emotive free verse blur the line between memory and fantasy in the beat-inspired volume tailor-made for tonight's live reading. Poet Amber Tamblyn and WriteBloody founder Derrick C. Brown also appear, along with Filter magazine's "Undiscovered Band of the Month," the Antiques.
