- Spaghetti-Western psych-rockers Spindrift were born for a gig in the back-room saloon in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly (or any cowboy flick scored by Ennio Morricone, really). The LA-bred outfit's washed-out instrumentals scorch the prairie like a never-setting sun, as its desert-dry surf-guitar riffs blow gunslingers out of town like tumbleweeds. – Andrew Phillips
