As the title of one particularly slamming cut off their new record, High Steppin', suggests, Wonderwheel recording artists the Pimps of Joytime hail from "Funky Brooklyn" and points East. But in what's becoming a pleasantly regular occasion, the band is making its way out West for a gig at their pal Wiseacre's Custom Sundaze poolside party. The Pimps' sexy Afro-Cuban funk is an ideal fit for the Custom's Sunday-afternoon mini-Ibiza cocktail and quick dip good time vibe.
