Video artist Doug Henry and composer/audiophile Joe Potts collaborate in a major new video work honoring the 100-year anniversary of cubism and Picasso's masterpiece Les Demoiselles d'Avignon. Many diverse threads feed into Still Life with Dancer, beginning with cubism's dismantling of traditional ways of seeing, as well as its affront to the primacy of European art history. Video editing and audio cacophony combine to moving effect in this kaleidoscopic, modern update of an enduring classic.
