It has been nearly 28 years since John Lennon's passing, but his quest for world peace lives on. Lennon's widow, noted artist Yoko Ono, continues her late husband's legacy with the Imagine Peace Tower, a light installation in Reykjavik, Iceland. Now, California residents can contribute to that moving work via Ono's site-specific Pasadena piece, Wish Tree. Visitors have been writing their thoughts, prayers, and hopes on slips of paper and attaching them to the 21 trees lining One Colorado Plaza. On November 9, the wishes will be removed to the Imagine Peace Tower, which is illuminated for the two months between Lennon's birthday on October 9 and his death on December 9, but the trees will remain in Pasadena. A dedication ceremony takes place there on November 15.
