KROQ serves up a swell selection of kitschy, cool indie rock at Safari Sam's during another one of its Locals Only showcases. The night is headlined by hook junkies Satisfaction, a buzz-churning quartet whose songs are touched by a hint of classic rock and a pinch of modern power pop. Also taking the stage are Hello Dragon, featuring Chris Zerby and Julie Chadwick of Boston-bred Helicopter Helicopter. Local up-and-comers the Flying Tourbillon Orchestra (the second word is pronounced "TOUR-bee-yon") make an appearance and dish out some of their own syncopated, male-female vocal musings.
