The American Cinematheque keeps trumping itself with über-cool event after über-cool event. The latest is Rock Docs, a five-night series that screens classic concert documentary features. Highlights include The Last Waltz (1978), which chronicles the all-star final concert of the Band; the beloved Beatles doc A Hard Day's Night (1964); and two entries from director Jonathan Demme's — Neil Young: Heart Of Gold (2006) and Stop Making Sense (1984), which shows the Talking Heads at their bizarre best. The more punk-inclined can check out a screening of Steven Sebring's new and fittingly eccentric Patti Smith: Dream Of Life.
