Esotouric Bus Tour: Tom Waits: Crawling Down Cahuenga

Here's a reason to cherish the seedy side of LA: Esotouric, which puts together bus tours that celebrate the city's artists and writers. The invite to the Tom Waits edition, Crawling Down Cahuenga, calls "all rain dogs, gin-soaked boys, and Gun Street girls" to reimagine Waits' wild days in LA. (In the early '70s, he lived at the beat-up Tropicana Hotel and boozed his way around Sunset Strip haunts.) Waits collaborators David Smay and Kim Cooper, who boast first-hand insight into the gravelly-voiced icon, come along for the ride. And though he's wandered away from the city and given up the sauce, Waits' musical legacy is strong as ever; now you can find out where it all began.
