In the early '90s, Highways Performance Space was the prime spot in LA to get in touch with the freshest and most vital voices in underground dance. Now that the LA scene is experiencing a renaissance, the innovative ideas are flowing again, and Highways stands poised to contribute to this proliferation with SWEAT!, its new summer dance festival. Gathering progressively-minded choreographers from New York and LA, Highways curates a three-week offering of works that recalls those cities' early days of unbridled creativity.
