Skylight Books says…

The newly expanded Skylight Books channels the Lapin Agile tonight, hosting spoken-word artists, authors, and musicians whose passions run to the hot and the heavy. In anticipation of this fall's Onyx Poetry Cafe reunion, its ersatz organizer, the poet and painter Milo Martin, has assembled an impressive lineup that includes Rich Ferguson, freshly returned from NYC's Fringe Festival, acclaimed novelist Mary Otis, and Byronesque post-punk modernist Chris Tannahill. They and their colleagues will perform original work, periodically accompanied by torchy avant accordion from Mrs. Hobbs. It's all under the aegis of Martin's "utopian nihilism," the existential, post-Beat, and frankly sensualist literary movement explicated in his recent book of the same name.
