Playfully creepy garage rockers the Poor Excuses sing about the irony of America's "new normal" — such as security screenings at the Statue of Liberty. This raucous, political-minded quartet cranks out wordy, rambunctious, groove-heavy punk with a freaky Sex Pistols edge, and the group's just-released debut album, Come on the Future, is brash and unapologetically irreverent. Tonight, the band is joined by dazzling new-wave crooners Manhattan Murder Mystery and the lovely Tenlons Fort in a diverse and entertaining lineup presented by Radio Free Silverlake.
