Neither Japanese nor particularly authoritarian, Canadian quartet Tokyo Police Club are best described as dabblers. Fronted by bassist Dave Monks and keyboardist Graham Wright, the band deftly blends sharp Britpop guitars, indie-garage bass lines, and catchy vocal harmonies to generate their own peppy style. The band hits the Fonda tonight alongside indie-pop act (and Athens, Georgia outgrowth) the Whigs.
