Park(ing) Day LA

Help transform Los Angeles' sprawling asphalt jungle into a virtual park on the return of Park(ing) Day LA. A collaboration between community groups, architectural and design firms, professional and non-profit organizations, and environmentally conscious residents, the event has a simple goal: draw attention to the questionable use of land in Los Angeles, which prizes parking spaces over parks. Show your support for sustainable living and local community by attending one of the many participant made "parking spots," or creating your own; all you need is 100 square feet, an easily acquired permit, and a bag of quarters.

Program 12 hosts the free, official afterparty at the A+D Museum from 7-11pm.
