Aeschylus' Agamemnon, the first of three plays that make up famed Greek trilogy The Oresteia, soaks the stage with what all good tragedies boast — blood, lust, adultery, murder, and a more-than-healthy dose of vengeance. With the steely Delroy Lindo playing the title role opposite the Emmy- and Tony Award-winning Tyne Daly, the production's star power is only surpassed by the inspiring views in and around the Getty Villa's outdoor amphitheater. Veteran director Stephen Wadsworth, acclaimed for his evocative stagings of classical works, helms this storied tragedy.
