The latest installment in LACMA's Late Night Art series puts a new twist on an old project. Thirty-five years ago, the museum commissioned photographers to document the street fashion of 1973 Los Angeles. This time around, shutterbugs take aim at event attendees to celebrate the distinctive styles of today. The original project, consisting of over 400 images, is showcased in grand format; also offered are independent-film screenings and guided tours of current exhibits — including the acclaimed Philip-Lorca diCorcia show. This special night is perfect for anyone who loves fashion and '70s culture, or for someone who wants to impress a date with an evening that doesn't involve popcorn.
