Chinese-born Yin Zhaoyang didn't have to look too far for inspiration when creating the work in his latest show at DF2 Gallery. After viewing the Chinese Buddhist art collection at the Metropolitan Museum in New York, things fell into place quite naturally. Radiation takes ancient Chinese art's deep connection to self-realization and wisdom and parlays it into an exhibition about personal and cultural growth. As suggested by the title of the show, Yin's canvases gleam with the energy that emanates from his subjects. Besides paintings, the exhibit also includes an impressive white marble statue that is equally full of quiet power.
