Though her much-anticipated debut album doesn't drop until spring, Canadian singer Anjulie is already being touted as the industry's next — but less annoying — Lily Allen. The Toronto-born ingenue is one cut above your traditional pop songstress; she writes and performs her own music, a folk/rock mix that also recalls fellow Canadian Nelly Furtado, with tunes that she insists are influenced as much by Michel Gondry as Burt Bacharach. To find out what that translates to in a live environment, you'll just have to show up tonight.
