Blending electronic machine-mashing with basic punk-rock beats and dreamy vocals, drummer Carla Azar and bandmates Eugene Goreshter and Greg Edwards keep things loud and hypnotic. Born in LA's Silverlake in 2000, Autolux were subsequently signed and recorded by legendary producer T-Bone Burnette; they have since opened for rock gods like Elvis Costello, Beck, Trent Reznor, the White Stripes, and Queens of the Stone Age. Now all grown up, they're headlining on their own, continuing their climb toward shoegaze perfection.
