Note:
A reception for the artists takes place on Saturday, January 31 (5-8pm).
Paul Kopeikin Gallery inaugurates its new West Hollywood digs with a pair of solo exhibitions underscoring its central place in the contemporary photography scene and beyond. J. Bennett Fitts offers a series of color photographs portraying the contortions and curious choices made by business-park landscapers with crisp, stark, and surreal industrial anti-oases. Guest curator Fette, of Fette's Gallery, contributes a new series of haunting, emotionally fraught, and symbol-laden portraits rendered by Bas Louter in rich black-and-white; they're more romantic and profound in style than Fitts', but no less bizarre.
