LA post-punk crew Low vs. Diamond are known for rapturous melodies delivered with an almost-cartoonish level of quaver-voiced, clenched-fist conviction. Signed to Marrakesh Records — the label that, unsurprisingly, signed the Killers to their first record deal — the quintet creates beautifully gloomy melodies in support of stories of post-teen renaissance. Their ultra-catchy tunes are bound to make a star-crossed romantic out of even the most jaded scenester. Tonight they share the stage with Nickel Eye, the talked-about side project by Strokes guitarist Nikolai Fraiture.
