Self-Portraits in the Age of MyFaceSpaceBook is a big, fat group show that delivers just what its title promises: an unwieldy yet fascinating exhibition/sociology study examining the (d)evolution of the self-portrait in the face of relentless online, image-obsessed, real-time autobiography. Marla Koosed and Coagula publisher Mat Gleason curate emerging and better-known visions, ranging from the visceral, heavily worked images of Liat Yossifor to the punny conceptualism of David E. Stone and the crisp, brightly surreal paintings of Vonn Sumner. The resulting show may be just us unruly as Facebook, but it's definitely better looking.
