Greg Laswell returns from a cross-continental gigging escapade to perform at Hotel Café, the site of his LA residency. The Vanguard Records artist has been touring alongside Jenny Owen Youngs while promoting his third solo album, Three Flights From Alto Nido, bringing his straightforward, anti-heroic tunes to intimate venues nationwide. Laswell's raw strains, laced with prickly lyrics, have been featured regularly on network TV, but his modern, melancholic folk ditties are best heard via his quietly intense, uncomplicated live performances.
