Think about a hybrid of that awesome piano toy from Big and the kind of motion-responsive light sculptures you might find at, say, Coachella, and you have a small idea of what musician, architect, and artist Christopher Janney has planned for the park on the USC campus this week. Installed as part of the Visions and Voices program, the free, outdoor field of electric columns is designed to be "played" by multiple viewers, in a multi-sensory experience that redefines what public art can be.
