Black Dahlia Theatre and Chalk Repertory Theatre presents Stray
The Black Dahlia Theatre and Chalk Repertory come together to present Stray, an award-winning contemporary dramatic play about international child adoption and the challenges it brings. Chalk Rep is flush with 6 Ovation nominations for Family Planning, and along with the Black Dahlia Theatre, it keeps a solid steady stream of contemporary theatre in Los Angeles flowing. Stray, a story about a white couple that adopts an African boy from an extremely harrowing history in Uganda, examines the human experience of good intentions that unfolds in complicated ways. The theatre is intimate and the show's design efficient, with strong actors who are fully able to relax while owning the complex roles.
