In the perfect storm of music and activism, Dakota Lounge plays host to a night of deep-soul jams, hip-hop magic, and Latin-infused, bass-heavy funk, as it welcomes NextAid in a benefit event celebrating the release of Funk Aid for Africa. Compiled by DJ OBaH and featuring NYC and LA dub all-stars like J-Boogie, the CD is the first in a series of Dubspot releases raising funds for a variety of international charities, starting with NextAid and their amazing work with AIDS orphans in Africa. Tonight's appearances by Jeremy Sole, J-Boogie, and DJ OBaH himself are aimed at your mind and wallet as well as your dancing feet.
