Nate Frizzell combines a dark sophistication with the chaos of youthful imagination in a new series of lush paintings depicting the fusion of human and animal identities in a magic-realist style. There is always an animal presence, whether as companion or mask, as these individuals explore the literal and figurative wildernesses of their budding identities. Concurrently, the gallery exhibits selections from the wildly popular national touring art project, The Kids Are Alright.
