First it was the return of the roller disco, then the resurgence of the roller derby — now, roller-skating aficionado Wendy Walz is taking the world of wheelin' to a whole new level with the mesmerizing live theatrical show, Rollerstar. Using projected imagery, visual effects, and a 360-degree stage, the trailblazing production originated in the Venice Beach roller-dancing scene and has since come to redefine the art of roller-skating. With a soundtrack highlighting a wide range of musical traditions, Rollerstar showcases numerous dance genres, "transforming a nostalgic disco stereotype into a legitimate contemporary art form of its own."
